The Republic Tigerettes dance team took 3rd place at the state competition in Kansas City this weekend. The result is the highest finish in recent memory for the Republic squad at state.
The state competition, sponsored by the Missouri Dance Team Association, was held at Kemper Arena Saturday.
The Tigerettes earned second place in the Class 3 Dance category. They took 3rd in the Class 3 Mix category, as well.
Several Tigerettes also received academic achievement awards from the MDTA.
Team members are Lexie Chott, Megan Auman, Jordan Belcher, Makenna Garton,Abby Vaughan, Kayla Warner, Courtney Griffith, Kamelia Smart, Morgan Auman, Taylor McGill, CeCe Dickey, Alexa Elliott, and Taylor Lewis. The Tigerettes are coached by Jana Linehan.
