The Republic Tigerettes turned in a strong performance Saturday at the Sugar Bears Invitational at Missouri State University, earning team hardware and multiple individual honors as the competition season gains momentum.
Republic finished first in Hip Hop and second in Pom in the team divisions, continuing a solid start that began last month. The Tigerettes opened the season with superior ratings in both routines at their first event, setting a strong baseline heading into the heart of the schedule.
The weekend also featured several standout individual performances. Among 40 senior competitors, Lillie Porter earned a first-place finish and Ava Lewis placed fifth. Sophomore Ellee Hickman finished first in her division, and freshman Molly Coggin placed fourth.
The Tigerettes are now preparing for a milestone trip. The team leaves Wednesday for Orlando, where it will compete at the national level for what’s believed to be the first time in program history.
