Republic scored twice in the first half and three more times after intermission to beat Neosho 5-0 on the road. Two goals just 18 seconds apart in the second half helped put the game away for the Lady Tigers.
Andie Wistrom opened the scoring unassisted, then Paige Elsenraat added a goal off an Ava Woolley assist to give Republic a 2-0 lead at the half.
Maddie Randall scored her first career varsity goal — assisted by Wistrom — in the sixth minute of the second half. Wistrom added her second goal just 18 seconds later with an assist by Elsenraat, and Republic led 4-0. Woolley picked up her second assist of the match on Macey Mitchell’s goal, the final score, with 30:44 left.
Awbree Berning made two saves for her seventh shutout of the season. Republic held an 11-2 advantage in shots on goal and an 8-1 edge in corner kicks.
The Tigers improve to 11-6 and host Rolla on Friday.
