Fans at Republic’s homecoming football game on Friday, September 26, can donate Halloween costumes for local students. Volunteers will collect costumes at the high school football field during the game.
Organizers are asking for gently used, school-appropriate costumes in all sizes. They will also accept monetary donations. Republic families will be able to choose from the donated costumes during October shopping at the Price Tag store.
The project is part of an effort in Republic schools called Paws for Celebration. The program, started at McCulloch Elementary, works to make sure every child has a chance to take part in school and holiday celebrations by providing costumes, treats, craft supplies, and other items.
