Republic went 1–2 at the Springfield Classic. The Lady Tigers picked up a win over Eldon in between losses to Conway (Ark.) and Staley.
Against Conway, Republic forced a third set before falling 25-15, 25-27, 25-17. Kate Mitchell recorded eight kills, and Addyson Warner finished with 10 digs. Reese Finley and Chloe Pullan combined for 17 assists, and Pullan served three aces.
Republic’s victory came in the middle match, a 23-25, 25-20, 27-25 decision over Eldon. Mitchell was the top attacker with 14 kills. Rylee Vent added nine, and Andie Wistrom contributed seven. Finley and Pullan totaled 39 assists, while Warner led the defense with 17 digs. The Tigers served nine aces, spread across six players.
The weekend closed with a 25-20, 25-21 loss to Staley. Mitchell paced the offense with seven kills, and Shelby Forbis added four. Vent and Wistrom had three apiece.
Republic finished the weekend with a season mark of 8-9-1 and returns home Tuesday to face Glendale.
