Republic swimmers didn’t wait long to raise the bar again. One night after opening the season with a school record, the Lady Tigers added two more Friday and finished second in a six-team meet, scoring 248 points with only eight swimmers. Glendale won with 299 points, followed by Republic, Rogersville (148), Central (135), Ozark (128), and Marshfield (76).
The 200 Medley Relay team of Amelia Beaver, Elise Replogle, Ava Brown, and Zaylie Pinnell broke its own mark from the night before by one-hundredth of a second, winning in 2:03.53. Brown, Replogle, Pinnell, and Annalice Renegar later won the 400 Free Relay in 4:03.05, crushing the previous school record by six seconds.
Brown won both the 200 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle. Replogle won the 200 IM and placed second in the 100 Breaststroke. Renegar placed second in the 100 Butterfly. Pinnell was runner-up in the 50 Freestyle. Beaver finished second in the 100 Backstroke. Chism and Pruett also contributed points.
Republic is off for 11 days before its next meet.
