Republic’s Corbin Massey, Maddox Wilkins, Phillip George, and Keaton Overcast all placed top three in their respective weight classes, qualifying them for state. Four is the highest number of state qualifiers Republic has had since 2016. They will begin competition on Friday at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.

Shooting percentage for Republic boy’s basketball in the third quarter of games this season, which is the best of all quarters this season. The Tigers have averaged 15.5 points in the third quarter across their games this season, also the best of all quarters.

Average points against the Lady Tigers through 23 games this season, the best mark for them since 2020, when they won a district championship. The Lady Tigers’ defense has also averaged 10.5 steals per game throughout the season.

Points for Brenley Hagewood in two games last week. Hagewood, who averages 17.6 points per game, scored 31 on Tuesday night against Ozark and followed it with a 22-point performance on Friday night at Neosho.

The boys defeated Neosho by a score of 82-32, their largest win of the year, to extend their winning streak over the Wildcats to 17. Meanwhile, the girls won by 47, winning 76-29, and extended their winning streak over the Lady Wildcats to 15.

Softball players honored for academic all-state, increasing the overall fall sports total to 24. The six Lady Tigers honored were Ali Poulson, Paige Elsenraat, Jenna Belcher, Lilli Richerson, Addison Brown, and Kara Goeke.
