4×400 Teams Lead Republic at Home Relays on Senior Night (Photos)

Both of Republic’s 4×400 meter relay teams won their events to highlight the Republic Relays. Republic also celebrated Senior Night, honoring seven senior team members: Kaitlyn Ragsdale, AJ Fenske, Jasmyn Douglas, Lexi Reeves, Luke Willis, Ethan Piles, and Chase Liedtke. Those seniors combined to win three events – two by Fenske and one by Douglas. The girls team finished third and the boys team finished fourth overall. (See photos below.)

The girls 4×400 meter relay team of Alaina Norman, Gracie Woods, Jasmyn Douglas, and Kristin Probst finished first, and so did the boys 4×400 meter relay team of Cooper Douglas, Miller Rountree, Landen Finley, and Devon McMillin.

Fenske won both the discus and the shot put. Douglas won the 800 meter run. Miha and Misora Nambara finished 1-2 in the 1600 meter run. Jenna Belcher won the triple jump.

Chase Liedtke finished second in the 100 meter dash and second in the 200 meter dash. Devon McMillin was second in the 800 meter run. Ethan Haynes was second in the 1600 meter run.

Freshman Kristin Probst finished second in the 400 meter dash (1:02.78). Kaitlyn Ragsdale finished second in the 300 meter hurdles. Lexi Reeves finished second in the pole vault, and Republic had three of the top five performers in that event. (Riley Brown and Allysson Mayer finished tied for third and tied for fifth, respectively.)
