Republic opened its boys wrestling season with a win at Waynesville Tuesday, 52-25. Phillip George, Keaton Overcast, Daniel Gonzalez, Tanner Gonzalez, Maddox Wilkins, and Masen Hartsock all won their matches on opening night. Republic also took advantage of three open spots in the Waynesville lineup to pick up 18 points.
In the girls dual, Republic’s only win came on the first match of the night, when Millie Waterman defeated Josseline Galvan by a pin in 38 seconds.
