An eight-game winning streak ended at home for the Republic Lady Tigers Tuesday, as they lost to Nixa 2-0. The teams were scoreless at halftime, but Nixa scored less than two minutes into the second half to take the lead, and would never relinquish it.
The Lady Eagles scored an insurance goal with 6:15 left in the game to account for the final score.
The loss drops Republic’s record to 10-4 overall. It’s their first loss in Central Ozarks Conference action.
