Before Jacob Duran, Alex Johnson, Treyton Gray, and Gavin Lawhon broke Republic’s 4x100m relay record on Monday in Bolivar, Jacob Duran, Alex Johnson, Treyton Gray and Tucker Ladd did it first.
Last Friday at the Christian County relays, Ladd filled in for Lawhon and helped Republic run the race in 43.11 seconds. That beat the old mark of 43.44, set in 2018 by Chase Liedtke, Dylan Brown, Jake Jones and Skyler Owen.
Even though the record stood for only a few days before being broken, the team’s record-breaking performance last week capped a strong week for the Republic track and field team, and it was our Performance of the Week!
