Republic left Branson with a team title on the girls’ side and a fourth-place finish for the boys at the Cedar Ridge Invitational.
The Lady Tigers won the meet, placing all five scoring runners in the top 20. Sophomore Brylie Harris was third overall in 20:53.26, followed by sophomore Zoey Johns in fifth at 21:13.83. Senior Catherine Wilson finished ninth in 22:09.62, and freshmen Peyton Bodoin (13th, 22:25.32) and Malori Koskovich (16th, 22:35.42) completed the scoring. Sophomore Jovi Kirby placed 20th in 23:08.27.
The Tigers finished fourth in the boys’ standings. Sophomore Lucas Riffe led Republic with an 11th-place time of 17:38.46. Senior Will Payne was 18th in 18:07.71, and
junior Alex deHaan took 26th in 18:26.65. Juniors Dalton Glendenning (31st, 18:55.88) and Luke Delahay (36th, 19:19.56) rounded out the scoring five. Junior Gabe Benjamin (38th, 19:26.00) and junior Caleb Brest (45th, 19:58.29) also ran for Republic.
Kickapoo and Glendale tied for the top boys’ score with 51 points, followed by Nixa (56) and Republic (107).
