It’s a busy week in Republic athletics, and here are some of the highlights to keep an eye on. The full schedule is below.

Football
The freshman and JV teams look to keep up their successful seasons Monday, with the JV looking for its fifth win in five games at Willard Monday. Coming off a nail-biter 21-20 win against Willard, the varsity team aims to carry that momentum into its home game against Joplin Friday. The Tigers will need limit turnovers and penalties, two issues that have been recurring themes this season. We’ll have the football game live on our YouTube channel.
Soccer
Republic soccer team stands at a 6-4 record after splitting matches last week. They face Nixa at home on Tuesday, a key contest that could set the tone for a challenging week featuring four matches in six days.
Volleyball
Republic’s volleyball team is on a six-match winning streak and looks to extend it with a home game against Joplin on Tuesday and another against Carl Junction on Thursday. With a 16-4 overall record, the Lady Tigers could reach the 20-win mark by next Saturday at the Bolivar Invite if they continue to play well.
Tennis
The tennis team tied for the championship at the Nixa Invitational and will face Bolivar on Monday and Ozark on Tuesday. Both matches provide an opportunity to build on their recent success. District play looms at the end of the week.
Cross Country
Both the varsity boys and girls cross country teams will participate in the Republic Invitational on Tuesday and the Camdenton Invitational on Saturday.
