Carl Junction snapped Republic’s three-match winning streak, knocking off the Lady Tigers Thursday, 25-20, 20-25 25-21 25-16. The loss is the first in Central Ozark Conference play for Republic.
Kailey Manes led Republic with nine kills. Claire Esther had five service aces to lead the team. Brooklyn Claxton added 22 more assists to her season total. Addison Fanning had two blocks, and Claxton and Alaina Norman led Republic with 11 digs apiece.
Republic won the JV match 25-15, 25-17. The Republic freshman team won 19-25, 25-23, 15-13.
Republic’s varsity team falls to 21-8. The Lady Tigers travel to Nixa next Tuesday.
