Kaemyn Bekemeier scored 26 points and Republic pulled away down the stretch to beat Carthage 55-39 and earn a spot in the Pink & White championship game. Republic scored 23 points in the first quarter, then gradually built its lead in the second half, outscoring Carthage 12-7 in each of the last two quarters.
Lauren Chastain (12) and Rilynn Finley (10) were also in double figures in scoring for Republic.
Kianna Yates had 20 points in a losing cause for Carthage.
The Lady Tigers advance to play Kickapoo in what will be a rematch from earlier this month. Kickapoo won that game in Republic. The game is set for 1 pm Thursday, and Republic Tiger Sports will have live audio coverage here.
