Republic swimmers captured a handful of medals and broke two school records at the Central Ozark Conference meet in Webb City Tuesday.
Bryce Martin (second place in the 100 yard backstroke) broke his own school mark with a time of 1:01.74. That was nearly a half-second faster than his previous best time. Seth Lock (third place in the 100 yard butterfly) set a new school record with a time of 1:04.34. That’s an improvement of nearly 1.5 seconds on Lock’s earlier fastest time.
Justice Murray captured the other silver medal with a score of 247.50 in the diving competition.
Lock grabbed a bronze medal in the 50 yard freestyle.
The Tigers’ also earned a relay medal in the 400 yard freestyle relay. Lock, Brady Lewis, Shael Wilson, and Martin earned silver with a second-place finish.
