Two long jump championships highlighted Republic’s performance at the Nixa Invitational track meet. Lauren O’Hara jumped 16′ 2″ win the girls event, beating Hailey Mackey of Ozark by a half-inch. Jackson Drennan, a sophomore, won the boys long jump with a leap of 19′ 9.5″. It was Drennan’s first varsity event championship.
The Lady Tigers finished fourth overall in the team standings. The boys finished 11th.
Other top-three finishers for Republic include the girls 4x800m relay team of Delaney Smith, Jazzy Kirby, Jade Kirby, and Jasmyn Douglas; and the boys 4x100m relay team of Jaden Appleberry, Claye White, Chase Liedtke, and Jackson Drennan.
