Republic track and field athletes posted several personal bests at the Southwest Baptist University High School Bearcat Classic. Two long jump championships highlighted Republic’s performance at the Nixa Invitational track meet. Lauren O’Hara jumped 16′ 2″ win the girls event, beating Hailey Mackey of Ozark by a half-inch. Haven Lander turned in her best vault of the year at precisely the moment she needed it, clearing 11’9” to set up her second consecutive state pole vault championship Friday in Jefferson City. Haven Lander leads the Tigers and Lady Tigers into the sectional track & field competition at Waynesville Saturday. Lander was the only Republic athlete to win a district championship in an individual event. She did it with her pole vault of 10’9”. Lander is also part of the 4x100m relay
