The Republic wrestling team landed four wrestlers on the medal stand at the Fort Zumwalt East tournament over the weekend. Jonathan O’Connell was Republic’s top finisher, taking second place at 132 pounds.
Michael Taylor finished third at 126 pounds. Reece Lawler and Cody Morehouse each placed fourth in their weight classes — Lawler at 113 and Morehouse at 195.
The Tigers finished in eighth place overall, out of 22 teams. For much of the weekend, they bounced between third and fifth place before settling at eighth.
