They started the season with a championship in the Willard Tournament, and now they’re champs of the Ozark JV tournament as well. The JV Lady Tigers won all three games — including two Saturday — to win the title.
Republic beat the Ozark freshmen in the first round, 50-30. They came from behind Saturday against Nixa in the semifinals, trailing the entire game before pulling out a 47-45 victory. In the championship game, Tigers beat Ozark 60-45.
Republic’s JV improves to 9-0 this season.
The freshman Lady Tigers, also entered in the JV tournament, finished 5th.
