The Lady Tigers dropped the first set on the road at Mountain Grove Thursday, but turned the momentum with a big second set and pushed on to a non-conference victory, 22-25 25-15 25-22.
Sophomore middle hitter Taegan Thomas had a big night for the Lady Tigers, posting seven kills and four blocks. Bella Drennan had 21 assists and three service aces. Eryn Russell also added three aces, to go along with 18 digs.
The win improves Republic’s varsity record to 7-3.
The JV team won 25-16 25-6. The freshmen won a single set, 25-17.
