Republic made quick work of Neosho in a home conference victory Tuesday night, 25-11 25-18. The Lady Tigers got five kills apiece from Lauren O’Hara and Brooke Stanfield. Stanfield also led the team with three blocks.
Mikayla Botkin contributed eight assists to lead Republic. She added two service aces, and so did Alexis Ladwig and Lynn Kreul. Eryn Russell had nine digs.
For Neosho, Macy Smith and Brooke Stauffer each had three kills. Laken Schnackenberg had seven assists and five digs.
“I thought we served aggressively and we took care of the ball when we needed to,” says coach Piper Wright. “There are definitely still things we can improve on, but we will take a win.”
The Republic JV also won, 25-12 25-18.
Republic’s varsity team improves to 6-8-1. They’re 1-2 in Central Ozark Conference play.
