Stanfield Leads Lady Tigers to Win

Brooke Stanfield scored 16 points to lead the Republic Lady Tigers to a 50-45 win over Camdenton Friday night. Stanfield’s performance helped the Lady Tigers overcome a poor shooting night to pick up the victory in a game that was part of a shootout at Branson involving area teams that had lost previously scheduled games to weather cancellations.

Republic jumped ahead 16-8 after one quarter, but managed only eight points in the second quarter, as Camdenton fought back to close the Lady Tigers’ lead to two, at 24-22. In the 3rd quarter, Republic outscored Camdenton 13-11, and in the 4th quarter, the Lady Tigers held a 13-12 advantage.

In addition to Stanfield’s 16 points, Republic got eight points from Tori Taylor, six each from Brylee Argo and Jordan Kabetske, five from Michayla Shanks, four from Logan Flood, three from Jade Sawyer, and two from Micah Mansker.

Republic improves to 4-1. The Lady Tigers have won three straight.
