Republic sophomore Megan Hergesheimer and senior Ryan Way came out of the gate quickly to start the cross country season. Hergesheimer finished first among the girls in Class 4, and Way finished second in the boys race at Bolivar. Hergesheimer was 2nd overall, including runners from all classes.
There were no team standings at the event, which was the first meet of the season for the Tigers.
Tabitha Weber of Marshfield won the girls’ race and Spencer Haik of Glendale won the boys’ race.
