Dylan Bekemeier is the lone Republic golfer at the state tournament at Rivercut Golf Course. The two-day tournament teed off this morning. I’ll post updates here as I have them.
- 12:45 p.m. Bekemeier birdied the 10th hole to put him at 1-over-par during the tournament’s first day. That was good enough to lead his foursome.
- 1:05 p.m. Bekemeier birdied the #12 to pull him to even par.
- 2:05 p.m. Bekemeier is back to +1 through 15 holes. Still the group leader.
- 3:00 p.m. Bekemeier has finished the opening round at even par. That puts him in striking distance of the lead in a crowded field. He’s tied for 3rd, just two shots off the lead.
