Dibben’s Big 4th Quarter Lifts Tigers Past Bolivar

Nick Dibben forced 2 key turnovers and scored eight points in the 4th quarter to help Republic beat Bolivar 59-55 Saturday at Republic. Dibben ended with 13 points for the game. Nick Yocum had 16 to lead the Tigers.

Republic trailed for most of the first half, but came back to take a 34-31 lead at the break. Republic outscored Bolivar 8-4 in a sloppy 3rd quarter to take a 42-35 lead into the final period. Both teams heated up in the 4th quarter, with Bolivar outscoring Republic 20-17.

Brody Thompson and Jonathan Combs each had 9 points for Republic. The Tigers improve to 7-3. They’ll be at home against Webb City next Tuesday night.

Bolivar falls to 5-7.
