Republic enters the upcoming Class 6 District 5 girls basketball tournament as the third seed, with all games to be played at Ozark High School beginning March 6.
The Lady Tigers (17-9) will face sixth-seeded Ozark (13-12) in the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 6, at 8:30 p.m. The winner advances to face either second-seeded Kickapoo (23-3) or seventh-seeded Lebanon (9-17) in the semifinals on Saturday, March 8, at 2:30 p.m.
On the opposite side of the bracket, top-seeded Nixa (23-3) meets eighth-seeded Neosho (5-18) in the quarterfinals, while fourth-seeded Glendale (12-14) takes on fifth-seeded Branson (15-10).
Nixa and Kickapoo share identical 23-3 records atop the district seedings, with the Eagles claiming the top spot.
The district championship game is scheduled for March 11 at 6:00 p.m.
The Republic boys basketball team also holds a third seed in their district tournament, which begins Wednesday at Nixa High School.
