From that point on, Republic won 18 games and dropped only five. Along the way, Republic strung together eight consecutive victories between January 24 and February 14.

Their only home loss came against Kickapoo on February 17th, when they fell 44-36 in a hard-fought contest that temporarily interrupted their late-season winning streak.
