Smith Medals as Lady Tigers Continue Improvement

Jenna Smith finished fifth and all three Republic golfers turned in career-best rounds at the Marshfield Invitational on Thursday. (Photos below.)

Smith shot an 80, setting a personal mark for the second time this season. She had shot an 83 at the MSU Relays last week, finishing ninth in that tournament. Thursday’s round was good enough for Smith to earn her first medal of the season.

Republic’s two newcomers continued their early-season improvement with personal marks. Eliza Scullawl shot a 113, a five-stroke improvement over last week. Chloe Priebe shot a 113, a two-stroke improvement.

The Lady Tigers will next be in action at the Bolivar Invitational on September 14.
