Brody Wilson threw a complete-game shutout, striking out 14 and allowing one hit as Kickapoo defeated Republic 10-0 Thursday, extending the Tigers’ losing streak to eight games.
Wilson retired the first nine batters before issuing a walk in the third. Republic’s only hit was a Brennan Overstreet double in the fourth.
Kickapoo scored in five of six innings, building a 5-0 lead through two on the strength of a two-run error in the second. Five Republic errors contributed to the final margin. Overstreet took the loss, allowing six runs — just two earned — on six hits in three innings. Chase Connell gave up four runs on five hits in two innings of relief.
Republic is 7-18 and hosts Carl Junction (20-8) Friday.
