Republic continued its strong run Friday night at home, pulling away early and cruising past Lebanon to improve to 16–3 on the season.

The Lady Tigers jumped out to a 21–4 lead by the end of the first quarter and never let Lebanon settle in. Republic followed with a 20–4 second quarter, then put the game out of reach after halftime by outscoring Lebanon 32–2 in the third.

With the outcome decided, Republic won the fourth quarter 9–7 as the starters spent most of the period on the bench.

Four players scored in double figures, led by Paelyn Gilmore with 16 points. Cora Cutbirth added 15, while Kinley Kilburn and Awbree Berning finished with 14 apiece. Jordin Quessenberry and Josie Stalzer each scored eight, and Jordan Coleman added two.

Republic knocked down 12 three-pointers, two shy of the school record that has been reached twice, including once last season. Kilburn led the way with four from long range. Gilmore made two, as did Quessenberry and Stalzer. Berning and Charlie Hagewood added one apiece, with Hagewood finishing with five points. Republic also went 14 of 16 from the free-throw line.

The win was Republic’s seventh in a row and its 11th in the last 12 games. The Lady Tigers are back home Monday to face Neosho.
