Ten Republic football players earned Academic All-State recognition from the Missouri Football Coaches Association.
Those honored were Trenten Coleman, Alex Johnson, Ethan Montiel, Brennan Overstreet, Chance Gimlin, Treyton Gray, Landon Harper, Kaleb Norman, Jin Villasica and Cooper White.
To qualify, players had to be nominated by their head coach, be a starter or specialist in at least 70 percent of games, and meet academic benchmarks set by the MFCA. In addition to participation requirements, nominees had to meet at least two of three academic standards: a qualifying ACT or SAT score, a minimum 3.5 unweighted GPA, or a class rank in the top 20 percent.
