After consecutive five-set marathon wins, Republic volleyball finally got to enjoy an early night. The Lady Tigers wasted no time in finishing off overmatched Springfield Catholic 25-18, 25-10, 25-10.
It’s the fifth win in a row for Republic, which has won nine of its last 12. The Lady Tigers are 14-10-1.
Kate Mitchell had 11 kills to lead Republic at the net. Audrey Pearce and Addyson Warner had two service aces each, and Reese Finley distributed the offense to the tune of 19 assists.
Finley contributed 13 digs to the defense, and Pearce and Rylee Vent each had two blocks at the net.
The JV team also won, 25-16, 25-11.
Republic travels to Willard, which will be looking for its 20th win of the season, on Thursday.
