The number of times in the past week the Republic volleyball team has taken its opponent to five sets — and the number of five-set matches Republic has won. The Lady Tigers beat Carthage, Kickapoo, and Willard in five sets, and they’ve won six in a row overall.

The team-leading number of kills for Republic volleyball player Kate Mitchell. The number includes 16 kills in Republic’s big five-set win over Willard. The Lady Tigers had fallen behind two sets to one and 10–19 before rallying to win in five sets.

The number of rushing yards by Preston McCracken this season. McCracken is averaging 8.08 yards per carry and 127 yards per game. If he manages to hit that season average again next week, he will top 1,000 for the second consecutive season.

The number of 20-win seasons for Republic softball under head coach Lee Dishman, who is retiring at the end of this season. Dishman and the Lady Tigers have a chance to make it six. They stand at 19 wins for the season so far as they begin district play on Thursday at Branson.

The number of Lady Tigers cross country runners who finished in the top 20 at the Cedar Hills Invitational in Branson on Saturday. Brylie Harris led the way with a third-place finish. Zoey Johns, Catherine Wilson, Peyton Bodoin, Malori Koscovich, and Jovi Kirby were also in the top 20 finishers as the Republic team finished first overall.

The number of goals allowed per match by the Republic soccer defense. The Tigers have posted eight shutouts this season. Ten of their 21 matches have been ended in a 1–0 decision. They are 5–5 in those matches, and they have not lost a match in which they scored at least two goals.
