Republic turned in solid efforts in both the girls and boys races at the SWCCCA Richard Clark Invitational in Bolivar on Saturday. More than 500 runners raced in the boys varsity division, and nearly 350 runners competed in the varsity girls race.
The girls’ squad finished 16th with 528 points. Sophomore Brylie Harris paced the team with a 54th-place finish in 20:50.26. Zoey Johns (101st, 22:08.13), Peyton Bodoin (115th, 22:29.52), Malori Koskovich (118th, 22:38.89), and Jovi Kirby (140th, 23:07.20) rounded out the scoring. Ellie Woolfenden and Chloe Gralak also competed.
On the boys’ side, Republic placed 27th out of 55 teams with 822 points. Lucas Riffe led the way, crossing in 17:46.52 to place 108th. Gabe Benjamin (181st, 18:38.48), Dalton Glendenning (212th, 19:01.53), Luke Delahay (225th, 19:11.60), and Kaisei Wilcutt (246th, 19:30.52) completed the scoring lineup. Other finishers included Caleb Brest, Eli Sherrow, Alexander deHaan, Anthony Badami, Braxton Zinter, Derek Argaez, Hiro Nambara, and Joshua Haigler.
