Republic’s 1-2 punch at the top of the tennis lineup has earned recognition by coaches in the Central Ozark Conference West Division. Both Lucas Riffe and Gavin Collyott were named to the all-COC West team.
Collyott, a senior, and Riffe, a freshman, have teamed up to become one of the best doubles teams in southwest Missouri this season. Riffe stepped into the No. 1 singles role, with Collyott playing No. 2 singles. With those two at the top of the lineup, the Tigers have compiled a 12-4 record in duals this season, with two of their losses by a 5-4 score.
Republic opens its district tournament with a dual against Carthage on May 5.
