Republic volleyball notched its second straight Central Ozark Conference Western Division win, defeating Joplin in straight sets at home. The victory improved the Lady Tigers’ record to 11-13 this season.
The Lady Tigers won 25-15, 25-21, 25-15.
Adison Gibbs and Reese Finley led Republic with 15 kills each. Kate Mitchell had two blocks. Reese Frey led the team with 15 digs and 43 assists. Finley and Bria Claxton each served four aces.
The night doubled as a fundraiser against breast cancer, with both teams wearing pink.
The Republic freshman and JV teams also won in straight sets.
