Republic dominated Parkview 15-0 in three innings Monday, securing a share of the Central Ozark Conference West Division title. The victory marked the Lady Tigers’ 21st win to close out the regular season.
Republic’s offense erupted for 15 runs on 11 hits, while Parkview committed five errors and failed to record a hit.
Addie Brown led the offensive onslaught, going 3-for-3 with three runs scored, four RBIs, two doubles and a home run. Ashland Schaumann matched Brown’s production, finishing 2-for-3 with four RBIs, two runs scored, a triple and a home run.
Annabelle Gerhardt-Hobbs and Paige Elsenraat each went 2-for-3. Gerhardt-Hobbs scored twice, while Elsenraat crossed the plate once. Mia Carnes, starting at shortstop, drove in two runs on a 1-for-2 night.
In the circle, Kara Goeke struck out six and walked one over two innings. Jayma Pitchford closed out the game with a perfect inning, striking out the side.
Republic’s 21 wins are the most since the Lady Tigers went 26-3 in 2015.
Republic (21-9) opens district play Thursday against Springfield Glendale at Kickapoo High School. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
