Eight members of the Republic football team have earned Academic All-State honors from the Missouri Football Coaches Association. Only four schools in Class five had more players on the team.
The eight honorees from Republic are Cameron Allen, Kanon Krol, Garrett Lester, Brady Lewis, Myles Lozano, Carter Nation, Caide White, and Caden White. This is the most players Republic has ever put on the All-State Academic team, dating back to 2014, when records are last available on the website of the coaches association.
Nominees must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors. They also must be starters and meet at least two of three criteria: a 25 on the ACT or 1200 on the SAT exam; a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher; or a class rank in the top 20%.
