When Strafford jumped on top of Republic to start the game, Lanney Strong came of the bench to spark a comeback. The Lady Tigers trailed by seven points in the second quarter before Strong got hot. Strong made two three-pointers and finished the quarter with a traditional three-point play. She had 13 points in the first half, helping Republic take a 32-31 lead into halftime.
Strong finished with 23 points to lead the Lady Tigers, as they pulled away in the second half for a 76-59 win. Strong made three of five three-point attempts and finished 8-for-12 from the field overall. She was also a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line, and her performance was our Performance of the Week.
