Overcast opened his day with a pin of Austin Yakle of Lebanon, then pinned Cole Beezley of Carl Junction. He won a hard-fought decision over Lucas Gideon of Springfield Central, coming from behind to grab a 6-3 victory and earn a spot in the semifinals.
In the semis, Overcast pinned Shane Pearson (16-2) of Reeds Spring. That put him in the championship match, where he pinned Kade King of Jackson for the title.
Overcast is 21-3 this season and his Kinloch effort was our Performance of the Week.
