Republic wrestlers ran their record to 3-1 with a road win at Branson Tuesday. The Tigers won the four heaviest weight classes and took advantage of Branson’s two open weight classes to earn the 50-30 win.
Winners for Republic in contested matches were Keaton Overcast, Daniel Gonzales, Greg Hicks, Izaiah Hull, Chase Hicks, Maddox Wilkins, and Masen Hartsock.
Republic’s win over Branson is a follow-up to a signature win for the Tigers last week during a triangular meet at Willard, when Republic beat Ozark for the first time in recent memory, 46-33. The Tigers’ lone loss of the season in dual play is against Willard, 41-29.
Republic will compete in the Lee’s Summit Holiday Tournament this weekend.

In the girls competition, Republic lost to Branson, 42-30. Among the five contested matches, Millie Waterman picked up the only win for Republic with a first-round pin.
