When the Republic Lady Tigers won the Central Ozark Conference track championship last week, it was truly a team effort. The Lady Tigers posted 16 personal-best performances on their way to the championship.
In several events, more than one Republic athlete scored points. In the long jump, Republic got points from Jenna Belcher, Rilynn Finley, and Gracie Woods. Belcher and Aubrey Haynes both scored in the triple jump. Kristin Probst and Gracie Troester each scored points in the 800m run.
Republic won two relays and five individual events. Gracie Troester was a part of four of those wins.
In winning its first COC championship since 1994, the Lady Tigers completed our Performance of the Week.
