The current win streak for the Tigers, who haven’t lost since in nearly a month. Republic last dropped a game on April 21 at William Jewell College against Kearney.

The number of wins by Republic this season. That’s more than the Tigers have ever won in a single season. They won 21 games in 2021, on their way to a state quarterfinal. They had also won 21 games in 2001.

The number of starting pitchers for Republic who have an earned run average below 2. Myles Lozano, who pitched a shutout in the district quarterfinal, leads the team with a 1.70 ERA. Gavyn Beckner, who allowed one earned run in the win over Kickapoo, dropped his ERA to 1.86.

Speaking of Lozano, he has struck out 43 batters but only walked 13 all season. That’s a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 3.31.

The on-base percentage of catcher Wyatt Woods. Woods leads the team in that category, thanks not only to a .338 batting average, but also to the fact that he has drawn a team-leading 22 walks this year. (That’s tied with Garrett Lester for the lead in that category.)

The number of base hits for Gavyn Beckner this season. That’s a new school record, breaking the old mark set by Harrison Waters in the 2005 season. Beckner is also only two RBIs away from tying the Republic single-season mark (40) held by Jared Hughes.
