With Springfield Kickapoo’s defense focused largely on shutting her down, senior Kaemyn Bekemeier still made things happen for the Lady Tigers in the district championship game.
Bekemeier managed a double-double, leading the team with 19 points and ten rebounds. She also had three assists and a steal to go along with it. Her performance, along with strong support from the rest of the team, helped deliver a district championship to Republic and put the Lady Tigers in the state quarterfinals for the first time in Class 6, and it was our performance of the week.
