Republic didn’t waste any time rebounding from its second loss of the season when it visited Webb City last Friday. The Tigers jumped out to a 10-point lead at the end of the first quarter, and Brenley Hagewood’s fast start with a big part of the reason. The sophomore guard scored eight points in the first quarter, then added seven more to take a 15-point total into the halftime break.
In the second half, he continued his hot shooting, dropping in two more three-pointers (of his four total), and added another eight points in the third period. Hagewood finished with a game-high 25 points, and it was our Performance of the Week.
