The current winning streak of the Republic boys basketball team. Republic won three more games this weekend to keep the streak alive. The Tigers are just one win away from matching the winning streak of the 1992-93 Republic team, which started the season 18-0. The 1961-62 team also won 18 games in a row, starting the season 12-0, losing to Willard, then winning 18 straight before an upset loss to Branson in the post-season. The longest winning streak in Republic history belongs to the 1962-1963 state champs, who won 28 straight.

The combined record of the boys and girls varsity basketball teams through January 30. (The Tigers are 18-1 and the Lady Tigers are 16-3.) At this point on the calendar, that’s the best combined record for Republic basketball since 2012-13, when the teams were a combined 34-2. At this point in that season, the girls were 17-0 and the boys were 17-2.

The average number of points scored by Brenley Hagewood in three games at the Bolivar Liberator Tournament. Hagewood led the team in scoring in all three games and scored ten points in the fourth quarter of Republic’s championship win over Thayer.

The number of seconds Jillian Aubuchon knocked off her previous best time in the 200-yard freestyle race at the Springfield Invite Saturday. That was the biggest time improvement of any Republic swimmer during one of the biggest meets of the season.

The highest place of any Republic wrestler at the COC boys and girls tournaments held in Webb City Friday and Saturday. Rebecca Griffin finished second in her division Friday, and Connor Sandridge took second in his weight class on Saturday.
