Nine Republic players landed a spot on the all-Region team selected by the Southwest Missouri Football Coaches Association. Junior offensive lineman Carter Nation and senior linebacker Cooper Douglas are both members of the first team.
Two members of the Republic offensive unit are part of the second team. Senior Connor Sandridge is at running bak and junior James Rexroat at wide receiver.
Two defensive players are also second-team selections — senior defensive lineman Dean Marcum and junior defensive end Cole Gimlin.
Senior Drew Buchanan is the second-team all-region punter.
Senior Gunner Ellison earned honorable mention at wide receiver and junior Wyatt Woods at quarterback.
Republic finished 8-4, its best record in 15 years. The Tigers also finished higher in the Central Ozark Conference than at any time since the COC expanded to ten teams. And in the playoffs, Republic earned its first-ever win over Webb City.
