Republic won all but two of its varsity boys matches in the wrestling season opener, dominating Waynesville 47-18. Winners included Keaton Overcast, Shea Rogers, Quentin Bailey, Jacob Simpson, Kaiden Patterson, Braydin Casey, Manning Wilkins, Chase Hicks, and Maddox Wilkins.
Rogers, Bailey, Simpson, Patterson, Casey, and Wilkins all pinned their opponents.
Lukas Smith and Aiddyn Berry were both winners at the JV level.
Although Waynesville won the girls match because of open slots in Republic’s lineup, Republic won two of the three contested matches. Rebecca Griffin and Anna McBroom were both winners by pin for Republic.
