The number of different events in which Republic will be competing at the state track meet this year. State track results are available online back to 2003, and in that 20-year period, Republic has qualified in nine events twice, but never in 10.

The number of individual events Republic qualified for this year. That’s the most in at least the last 20 years. Twice during the past two decades, Republic has qualified in six individual events – last year, and in 2013. (in 2013, Brooke Stanfield competed in four of those events at the state meet.)

The amount of time Miller Rountree shaved off his previous school record during the 300m hurdle finals. Rountree owned the previous record at 40.59 before turning in a 40.07 to qualify for state.

Performance 4x8

The record time posted by Republic’s boys 4x800m relay team. That was three seconds better than the team’s previous school record, but still not quite enough to qualify for state, as the team finished fifth.

The number of Republic athletes who head to Jefferson City with state experience from last season. Devon McMillin, Miha Nambara, Misora Nambara, Alaina Norman, Kristin Probst, and Gracie Woods all competed in Jefferson City last year.

Alaina norman

The number of javelin throwers in Republic history who have qualified for state. That one is Alaina Norman, who took up the event this season, won the district, then qualified for state
